The steps are very simple & easy to follow. Prior to that, I marinated the minced meat with soy sauce, sesame oil, and pepper. Next, I added some finely chopped water chestnut to the meat. Then I put the mixture in the fridge.
These are the steps I showed to joshuaboy.
- Place a wan ton skin on the plate.
- Scoop some minced meat into one end of the skin.
- Spread some water on the other end of the skin ,which is not covered by the meat.
- Fold the skin, with the meat inside, into a semi-circle.
- Place the completed wan ton on another plate.
After that, he did one all by himself. I could see his proud grin on his face...All in all, he did about 5. All in all, we did 12 wan tons...
When we were done, I heated up some oil, getting ready to deep fry the wan tons. Joshuaboy could only stand on a stool, watch the oil bubble, watch the wan ton drop into the oil one by one, watch the fried wan ton scoop up onto a plate...
After which, we sat down to enjoy the 'fruit of our labour'.
Yummy!
(Did we finish all? What do you think?...hee...)
wah... I also feel like eating fried wanton now... :)
